Support Last West
Last West: Roadsongs for Dorothea Lange is a hybrid documentary theater piece combining poetry, large-scale projection, and soundscape that traces the routes and legacy of photographer Dorothea Lange across California. Since its MoMA-commissioned origins in 2020, the piece has grown into a full theatrical production — with a sold-out world premiere at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art in 2025 and an active California tour, including upcoming performances at the Oakland Museum of California and a full run at Marin Theatre Company in 2027.
A core part of our mission is making this work as widely accessible as possible — bringing Last West to public school students, community groups, and audiences in unexpected places, from museum galleries to pop-up performances in the heart of the communities Lange once documented. Your support helps make that possible.
We would love to have you join us on the journey! Our goal during 2026-2027 is to raise $50,000 to bring LAST WEST to unexpected places and audiences across the Bay Area and California.
Last West is fiscally sponsored by the El Cerrito Community Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations to Last West are made through the El Cerrito Community Foundation and are fully tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Thank you for helping bring this work to audiences across California and beyond.
